Better Vision. Better Hearing. Better Georgia.

Our Lions
In 1926 Helen Keller charged the attendants at a Lions International Conference to become "knights for the blind." Today, the Lions continue to carry out that mission by providing new glasses to members of their communities and recycling used glasses. However, the Lions clubs alone cannot meet the need, and the Lighthouse Foundation picks up where they leave off. Just as the Lions need the Lighthouse to reach a maximum number of Georgians, the Lighthouse relies on the Lions for support with volunteers and fund raising.
"The Lighthouse is representative of the Lions of Georgia's dedication to service. Lions Clubs have always been part of the organization's legacy and leadership."Associate Directors
- Mark Miller, Chair of the Board, member of the Jasper Lions Club
The Lions Club Associate Directors are the liaison between the Lions and the Lighthouse Foundation. They receive our monthly e-newsletter (The Beacon), and they are responsible for relaying information from the Lighthouse to their clubs.

White Cane Chairs
The White Cane Chairs for each club are responsible for the White Cane fundraiser. The responsibility includes: ensuring a White Cane goal is budgeted at the beginning of the fiscal year, organizing a White Cane fundraiser (or series of fundraisers), and making sure the check sent on behalf of your club is designated for White Cane. If you have already designated a White Cane chair and set a goal, please submit them using the link below:
