Founded in 1949, the Lions Lighthouse has a long legacy of service. Continue that Legacy by making a monthly gift of $49 or a total annual gift of $588.
1949 Club members receive:
• A one of a kind membership pin
• Recognition in the annual report
We aim to have 100 members of both the Luminary Society and the 1949 Club by 2012!
*Note - Even if you don't sign up specifically sign up to be a member of the "Luminary Society" or the "1949 Club," donors who make gifts that exceed the requirements (Luminary Society - $1,000/year; 1949 Club - $588 per year) automatically receive the benefits and recognition.

How do I become a Luminary Society Member?
The Luminary Society Membership is the individual giving program of Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation. A Luminary Society Membership is an honor presented to those who donate at least $1,000 per calendar year to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation or to people for whom a donation is made by other individuals. Donations can be made through the Lighthouse website.
I made a $1,000 donation to the Lighthouse a few years ago. Am I a Luminary member?
The Luminary Society was recently re-vamped as an annual giving program. Individuals are honored for their pledges and contributions beginning this calendar year. So individuals who made contributions in past years solely will not be recognized as current Luminary Society members.
Who can make contributions to the Luminary Society?
Contributions must be made by individuals. A group of individuals can submit donations on behalf of someone else, but this donation must come from individual accounts and not from a Lions Club. Contributions can be made in one sum, or in installments of any amount over a period of a year.
Do I have to be a Lion to be a member of the Luminary Society?
No, you do not have to be a Lion to be a Luminary Society member.
Can I designate my gift for a particular purpose?
Yes! Any individual gift designated for the Trust Fund, White Cane, Regular Contributions, or in memory or honor of a loved one.
