Better Vision. Better Hearing. Better Georgia.

Host a Vision or Hearing Screening

The Lighthouse Foundation lends vision and hearing screeners for events throughout Georgia.  The screening program addresses the "education" portion of our mission, in which we help members of the community assess their visual acuity, risk for eye disease, and any hearing loss they may have suffered.  The screenings are not substitutes for exams by trained optometrists, ophthalmologists, and audiologists.  They are methods of helping members of your community realize that they may need to schedule an appointment with one of these professionals.

If you would like to host a vision or hearing screening in your community, or if you would like us to set up a vision or hearing screening at your event, please contact Peri at pfinch@lionslighthouse.org.  Please give at least one month's notice for each screening.  If you have not done a vision or hearing screening before, you will need to schedule a training session with Peri as well.

Why host a screening?

Because it’s a win-win for you and your community!  This program will promote the importance of vision or hearing health and offer you and your friends an important and convenient community service project. It also gives exposure for your group through the media’s interest in community health.
