Volunteers are the heart of Georgia Lions Lighthouse, making it possible for us to continually increase the number of people we serve. With your gift of time, you can bring sight and sound to even more Georgians and other people in need around the world.
Which Opportunity is Right for You?
Volunteer as a Group
Although individuals are welcome to volunteer in our eyeglasses recycling center, it’s the perfect place for volunteer groups. It’s also a lot of fun. The Lighthouse recycles used eyeglasses for distribution in developing countries, where eyeglasses are often unavailable. Our volunteers wash used eyeglasses and are trained to determine the prescription of each pair. For more information, please complete the Group Volunteer Request Form. One person should complete the form, as the contact person for a group.
Times available for volunteer groups:
Monday – Friday: 2:00 – 5:00
Thursday: 9:00 – 5:00
Saturday: Hours can be scheduled for 6 or more volunteers.
